This may be a daft question but if you put an audio MD into a data MD drive,
will it read it?

If so, can you transfer audio tracks from your data drive
to your PC hard disk?  This would be useful for backup purposes - and for
trading (tracks as email attachments, or on streamer tapes).

I don't suppose anyone has ever come across a PC version of the ATRAC
decoder? ...or encoder for that matter?  (I just know someone is going to
say "Yes...they call it MP3").
