I believe that the Sony MDS-JE700 deck has an official track recovery mode
whereby it overwrites a disc's TOC with one which is effectively a single
track of 74m59s? This is an old model but maybe, just maybe, you could
find somewhere which still sells it, and then you could ask to "test" its
features (using your own disc of course ;-) I don't know what model(s) has
replaced it, nor whether it has the same feature. Does anyone on the list
know?
