I had said previously about the post of V2's message to the MiniDiscusion

Probably the person who received it in email and posted it to the
MiniDiscussion boards felt (s)he was doing a service, and was also trying to
do his/her view of the honest thing by duplicating the email address and name
from the emailed message onto the post. Whoever it was probably did not
understand the important difference in this specific situation between V2's
saying it privately and their stating it publicly.
