This isn't really a help, but I do know that there seems to be quite a
difference between brands which supposedly have the same amount of anti skip
memory. When I first got a portable it was an Aiwa AM-F5. 10 seconds of
anti skip memory and it would skip just walking down the street or with the
unit sitting in the car. I took it back and swapped it for another and it
was no better. Took it back again and swapped it for a Sharp 702 with the
same amount of memory and haven't experienced a single problem with
skipping. I've never jogged with it mind - far too energetic :-). I doubt
the 702 would perform so well in the circumstances you describe, but it does
suggest that not all anti skip memories perform equally well even though the
memory size might suggest they should.
