I'm not at home right now, but the shelf it's on is glass and I 
remember that one foot is 'shorter' than all the other feet. I'm 
almost certain it's the front left one. If I look between the 
foot and the casing on the feet, the 'short' one has a smaller 
gap.

I expect I'll inform my dealer of the problems and ask them to 
contact me when a new unit without any of the problems comes in, 
so I can swap it then, rather than be without now.

I think I'll email Sony too.
