Subject: MD: recording digital music via vhs-hi tapes......

I do the same thing and can tape analog signals as well...using a "digital
audio processor."
A "DAP" converts an analog signal into a digital signal and
stores it on any format such as VHS tape. It works great!
In fact, I have an extra 16 bit Aiwa PCM-800 digital audio processor with a
photocopy manual for sale.
This is a rare piece of equipment and can create
some really long "high quality" mixes. I'll need $300.00
First come, etc. Email privately: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
