Howdy all,
    First off, 96kbps is nowhere near cd quality unless you just pierced
both eardrums with an icepick.  128 IMO isn't even close, you have to go way
up in MP3 format to get even semi-close to atrac encoding.  Anyway if you
want to rip a cd and put it on a MD using a digital line, i say a minimum is
164 or higher, that's just my opinion though.  any lower and you lose a lot.
