Hey!
I've made recently an spdif to optical converter from my live with a
cd-audio (cd to soundcard) cable, 150om resistor (you can use a 220om or so,
so that the Live is safer) and a red diode. I connected it to pins 17-18 on
my Player 1024 baby and voilla - "dynamic digital sound just for your MD
recorder" :)
I've got the sharp 821. My Live hasn't burned yet, so the converter is ok :)
Want details? www.minidisc.org projects section and the article named "Super
cheat TOSLINK transmitter". Live 1024's AUD_EXT description -
http://3dsound.zut.pl/sblive.htm (Polish, but pictures are multilingual :) )
