No, you're not the only one.  For trying out music before you buy it
it's not that bad.  But hell at the same time, places like cdnow.com
have been using real audio to encode stuff as well.  And for a while
(pre mp3 fad) I had friends that were encoding with RA all their music
to play at work, instead of bringing in cd's... (yes I know it was
a dumb idea, but it was all their own :-)

As a mainstream format MP3 should never survive.  This means that in
the American market of idiot consumers (not that we have a lock on this
but I dare say we've got more than most) MP3 will probably win out.

The meek shall inherit the earth... and MP3 is pretty damn meek!
