I've recently made a comparison (with my own ears) of MP3 (128kbps) and
Windows Media format(96kbps bitrate) and I have to say that the latter
sounds a lot better. There are no distortions like in mp3 and it saves full
20-20000Hz frequency range, which is very noticable with percussion
instruments like hihats etc.
