I haven't tried this with an R30, but I do a lot of mono recording with my
R50, and have never had a problem like that before. Couple of things to
make sure of (no offense if these sound like stupid questions)
were you actually recording, or had you hit pause, and were just
in recording level set mode...
Do you have access to a deck system? if its just a TOC issue
you might be able to clone a full 149 minute TOC onto this disc
and be able to see what sound was recorded. If that works it's
the unit that is flaking out.
