Hi matt,
I've got a simular configuration.
I've got the Aiwa NSX-S55 bookshelf system, a MDS-S38 and a Sharp 702.
About two and a half years ago, I got into MD when I bought my 702. The
702 has a line-in, toslink in and microphone in. It also has a line-out
and a headphones connection.
Before people start jumping at me saying he Ralph, you're wrong, I want
to make clear that the line-out is combined with the headphone-out and
that the line-in is combined with the toslink digital in.
My bookshelf system has a line-out. So I just connected it to the line-in
of my 702 for recording tapes. I can't believe that the CX-NA31 doesn't
have a line-out.
If not, you could try using an analog cable from the headphone-out to the
line-in.
Cheers,
Ralph
