That's pretty easy. You don't need to convert the analog signel from your hi-fi system
to digital for your minidisc via an external ADC (Analog-Digital Converter). Your
minidisc recorder has one built in. So just get a analog RCA cable (the one with a
white and a red plug at one end and a stereo minijack like the one you use for
headphones), plug it into the line out (or maybe it's called tape out) on your AIWA
and into the line in of your minidisc recorder, and off you go.
If your AIWA doesn't have a line out, get a cable with stereo minijacks on *both* ends
and plug it into the headphone out of the hi-fi. That might not be a connection with
the best quality (you'll have to experiment with the volume on your hi-fi a bit), but
for tapes it will suffice.
