I just put it a Sony C7900/ Sony 626 CD Changer combo, and couldn't be
happier. The disc swapping is a little slow (it annoyed the hell out of me
at first) but you get used to it. It also keeps one in the chamber, so when
you start the car, your last CD starts up quickly. The disc titling feature
is very handy as well, and it can remember 120 discs. (A quick aside: the FM
tuning is lightning fast. Station to station w/ no noticeable gap!)
I bought mine at crutchfield, and the gave be 100 bucks off since I bought
them together... the deal may still be valid. Also, they had it in stock.
I found MD head units tough to come by...
<http://www.carmedia1.com/> had good prices as well.
And if you are a purist, Nakamichi jsut announced a new unit...
