 o A friend points out pictures and Japanese info for [1]Panasonic's 
   SV-SD70 solid state player. Due out in July for JPY49,800, the AAC 
   (not MP3) based unit uses SD flash memory cards and plays 4 hours on 
   a single AAA cell. Unequipped with an audio data input jack, its SD 
   cards are docked to the PC with a USB or PCMCIA adapter for 
   downloading. Its SDMI compliant software converts CD and MP3 (but 
   not.WAV) tracks to AAC. Larger capacity cards are due in 2001 
   (256MB) and 2003 (1GB).
