Yes, yes, yes. An NAD T760 will sound significantly better than the Sony
STR using PSB Alphas. Alphas are one of the best pairs of speakers you
can get (if not the best) at their price range. They are good enough to
easily reflect the quality of the amp they're being driven by. If you
have a good ear, you will easily be able to hear the difference between
the two amps when playing CDs or MDs. As for playing MP3s, the NAD/Alpha
combination will allow you to hear why MP3s don't sound nearly as good as
MD/CD ;-)
Disclaimer: I'm a happy owner of a pair of Alphas, as well as an older
NAD amp. I purchased both after substantial auditioning and researching
of reviews.
