I don't know about the 702 but I loved my 722 (until it was stolen
that is). It did everything well. I've replaced it with the sharp
Mt77 (MDLP) which I love in everyway except that the remote sucks
(not near as easy to use or effective as the 722's remote which was
not stolen and I now use on the mt77). From what I have read, seen,
and heard my comments on the sony MZ-R900 comparison to sharp Mt77
sony has better controls and form
sharp has better sound (recording and playing)
sharp is usually slightly less expensive but basically the same price
but they are both a lot more expensive than the sharp 7xx series and
sony mzr55 (if you can find the sharps that is). This is to return
to the original question which was not talking about the MDLP models.
I'm mostly just backing up the 722 which I really did like (only
negative was that it was large).
Sorry to send this to the whole list but I have a related question
for the list, has anyone played with copying from a Mac to the sharp
Mt77 over digital (like the xitel) or any hacking (titling to be
specific). I have read a lot on minidic.org but the mt77 doesn't
seem to be mentioned anywhere here although I suspect its faily
similar to previous sharp models (I use the same remote).
