Bad experiences? Unless there's more you're not telling us, what bad
experiences? You drop your MD player on the floor twice, it breaks,
and that's Sony's fault? And as to your MZ-R55, hey, rechargeable
batteries only last so long; it's just how they work.

Well then, yes, you would need a new one, and if you like Panasonic or
Sharp, so be it. But don't rule out Sonys because you can't hold onto
your MD player or because their batteries aren't magical.

Oh, and incidentally, "Walkman" is a Sony brand and registered
trademark, so if you don't want a Sony then you're not looking for a
MD Walkman, but for a portable MD player.
