Howdy all,
as some of you know i'm not the largest mac user in the world. I do
however have to have a couple for testing purposes on software i develop.
anyway earlier i was asking about a pci based sound card that did spdif.
Heck since i have the machines i might as well play with them :) anyway to
take the story into another area i'm currently in the process of upgrading
my computer with my delta dio 2496 sound card in it. I went to thier web
site and saw that they had mac drivers. I dl'ed them and they installed w/o
a problem. the controlls are pretty much the same as they are under windows
boxes. same functionality and all. the spdif output and input still can go
wicked high and sampling rates on that card are beyond anything i'll
currently use it for. anyway just thought that the mac owners out there
that have a pci slot open might want to know that this card works. Yeah i
do have to admit it's quite a bit more than a usb based solution but it's
true digital and no usb is involved. anyway that's my story, and at least
for probably another week the mac will have that card, then it get's pulled.
anyone know if aureal based sound cards have mac drivers? also it works
great with all my md stuff i tried.
