Kalau remote/mobile user mau pakai bandwith sebesar itu akan habis
diongkos, mahal.
IMAP client di mobile device beda cara kerjanya dengan IMAP client di
desktop untuk mengatasi handicap bandwidth kecil dan high latency, di
mobile device mengandalkan Push imap dan compression ratio yang tinggi
saat data transfer (macam blackberry yang cukup bekerja di GPRS mode saja).
Di LAN hal macam itu tidak terlalu dibutuhkan karena sudah high speed
connection.
