Do you have McAfee on your deployment server? It's possible that something is
preventing the installation of the Windows PE optional components, hence you
just get dumped to a command prompt inside Windows PE.

When you get to that command prompt, can you get a copy of the WPEINIT.LOG from
X:\Windows\system32?

Thanks,
-Michael

I have a MDT light touch server(OS 2008 r2 with Hyper-V) that was upgraded from
MDT 2010 to MDT 2012. After the upgrade all of the task sequences fail. They
start and I get the blue Microsoft screen but then get a command window and all
processing stops. I don't get the Welcome screen. I can't find any logs. I
have rebuilt the boot .iso. Does any one have a guess what might be wrong?

Steve
