On some task sequences we deploy software after the image is applied so at the end of those we run the following command to remove redundant restore points:
* cmd.exe /c "vssadmin delete shadows /For=C: /All /Quiet" We looked at automating the disk clean-up utility to remove some files before capturing the image but we found it didn't yield very good results and wasn't worth it in the end. Although we haven't looked at it since the update<http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2852386> that adds the windows update clean-up option, as with this option it may be worth using now. When you capture an image DISM will exclude a bunch of files and folders by default.
