Did you make any customizations to the Unattend? I'd create a new client TS, copy over your custom steps, and try it. If that works, then go in and add one unattend edit at a time, until you find that they all work, or the one that breaks it. Don't manually edit the xml file, use the tool.

The Windows image installs correctly and after a reboot the application install portion of the task sequence does not continue. I looked at the logs on the system but do not see anything as to why the TS is not continuing. Did anyone run into this issue before or have any insight as to why this is occurring?
