Yeah, when I look at the XML I'm not seeing the difference that is causing one
query to fail and one to succeed.

That’s really weird. I use your query and it picks up the 9010s. But, if I
replace your “052C” with the “0233” (for the Latitude E6400) it returns nothing.

I look at the raw XML and the systemID 0233 is there. I even copied from the
XML and into my query and still came up with nothing.

Honestly, I seem to be getting really inconsistent results....
I can use this to return all cabs for an Optiplex 9010 :
$cabSelected = $catalogXMLDoc.DriverPackManifest.DriverPackage| ? {
($_.SupportedSystems.Brand.Model.systemID -eq "052C") }
However, if I try to filter it using th OS majorVersion and minorVersion to get
just the Win7 drivers it returns nothing.

This snippet returns a list that is way too short, and does not contain the
9010 drivers :
$cabSelected = $catalogXMLDoc.DriverPackManifest.DriverPackage| ? {
($_.SupportedOperatingSystems.OperatingSystem.majorVersion -eq "6") -and
($_.SupportedOperatingSystems.OperatingSystem.minorVersion -eq "1" ) }
If I look in the raw XML file, I can clearly see the supported operating
systems list for the Optiplex 9010 shows an entry that contains
majorVersion="6" and minorVersion="1" I'm stumped as to what I'm missing
here...

Vaughn,

Do you have the systemID lookup working? I can’t seem to get it to work. My
query always comes back empty. Querying on other fields has been fine except
this one, even when using the snippets off of the website.

Thanks
Mike

OK this may be a stupid question, but how do I find the 4 character Model
systemID for my systems? I'm having trouble finding this info, but I'm new to
supporting Dells.

I toyed around with the snippets of Powershell, and I really like the idea.
