If you tick the box to copy drivers even if they exist, it will avoid the situation you describe.
Your driver folder will get bigger, since it will store unique copies for each folder. ________________________________ From: [email protected] [[email protected]] on behalf of Daniel Ratliff [[email protected]] Sent: Monday, June 23, 2014 3:33 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [MDT-OSD] Folder structure for drivers for multiple OS? I follow the control method for driver management, for example. Drivers-> Win7x64 -> LenovoThinkCentre_Mx3 -> LAN Drivers-> Win7x64 -> LenovoThinkCentre_Mx3 -> DISPLAY Drivers-> Win8x64 -> LenovoThinkPad_Yoga -> WLAN Drivers-> Win8x64 -> LenovoThinkPad_Yoga -> USB3 etc etc The only issue I find with this method is drivers used for different OS version, such as a driver that spans Win7, Win8, and Win8.1. So I may have a driver in my Win7x64 folder that is used on my Win8x64 builds. What do you do in situations like this?
