It's been quite a while, but at one point I had scripted the BIOS settings
tool from lenovo to apply uniform settings across like models as we were
initially imaging them.  I configured the bios how I wanted it on one
laptop, captured those settings, then applied the settings to other
laptops.  I don't recall for certain, but I think enabling the TPM was one
of the settings that was changed via that process.
