I am getting used to using LTI for my Build and capture - was previously using
Configmgr+MDT.

I need to make some mods to the default user registry. With Configmgr+MDT,
since the TS runs as system, it was easy to just script the edits of HKCU
because it was the default registry. Now that I am running as "administrator"
instead of System, I am not sure how to edit the default user registry hive. I
am used to just applying registry edits and having them apply as SYSTEM/Default.

Do I have to load the default hive, edit it and then unload it, or is there an
easier way? I think there used to be copyprofile in olden times before task
sequences existed... Does that still exist? Is that the way? I am reading
more about copyprofile and it sounds complicated and only marginally functional.

(for reference what I am really trying to do... I need to disable OneDrive
setup - need to remove it from the default profile so that Onedrive doesn't
run. I know there's a GP for turning it off, but occasionally those GPOs don't
apply on first logon and then it is too late - so I want to turn it off in the
base image to ensure it has little chance of accidentally being active for any
users.)
