As for the scripts, start reverse engineering them. The fact that nobody knows how they work is a major concern. The contractor either didn’t provide the necessary documentation or nobody knows where to find it or has not read it. Start going through your task sequences and when you find a reference to one of these scripts, grab a copy of that script and pick it apart. Find out what it does (and document it). See what it references and then then grab a copy of that script and repeat. It’s going to be a lot of work, but 1) it needs to be done and 2) after you’ve done it you’ll be the hero. To study for exams you’re going to want to focus on exam content, which you’re not really going to find in any book outside of an exam prep book. No book is going to help you with those scripts the contractor wrote. You’re only hope with those will be to go through them yourself and document them. We have various scripts that work with MDT at work which were created by a contractor a few years ago which work really well but no one knows how they fit in with SCCM and MDT. I would like to demystify the whole process. Thanks for all the replies. Can everyone recommend a very good MDT book? I have one right now that goes through most steps utilizing pre-created Powershell scripts. I don't want things done automatically without me having the knowledge of what and why it is actually being done. I appreciate all recommendations. Thanks!
