650 people earned a living from nightclubs? Wow, patokan angka yang amat
rendah.
50 orang per kelab malam/cafe, maka total sekira 2.500 orang.

Police warn nightclub owners
JAKARTA: Police on Friday met with representatives of nightclubs and other
entertainment businesses to discuss operating hours during Ramadhan.

"I expect that all of the business owners will follow regulations," said
Jakarta Police chief Insp. Gen. Adang Firman.

He also said police had issued warnings that only the police have the right to
check whether the businesses are complying with Ramadhan regulations, and shut
down those in violation.

Secretary-general of the Association of Indonesian Entertainment
Businesspeople, Adrian Maelite, asked the police not to conduct any drugs raids
during the fasting month because it would drive away visitors during a period
when nightclubs are only open for five hours a day.

He said about 650 people earned a living from nightclubs.

Adang said police would also increase street patrols during the fasting month,
when traditionally there is a rise in robberies.

"We will set up a special team to handle this," he said. --JP
