XM Radio Subscription To Cost More Saturday, 15 July 2006
http://www.halifaxlive.com/content/view/792/2/ XM Canada will be increasing its monthly subscription to $14.99 from $12.99 later this year, after its parent company, Canadian Satellite Radio Holdings Inc., reported a $20.4 million loss in its latest quarter. The new price will go into effect on September 1st, however, anyone subscribing to XM before September 1, 2006, will get the $12.99 monthly rate until September 2007. The news will certainly raise eyebrows at Sirius Canada, mainly due to the fact that the rate increase means XM's competitive edge of a lower subscription price will no longer be a factor in the fight for subscribers. Sirius Canada's monthly subscription price has been $14.99 since their launch, however, Sirius Canada offers more channels than its competitor XM. ================================ George Antunes, Political Science Dept University of Houston; Houston, TX 77204 Voice: 713-743-3923 Fax: 713-743-3927 antunes at uh dot edu Reply with a "Thank you" if you liked this post. _____________________________ MEDIANEWS mailing list [email protected] To unsubscribe send an email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
