:) T_OBJECT_OPERATOR token is "->" for PHP. Didn't you see T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM yet? :) that is hebrew for "::" :)
2- I restart Apache (I thinks it's better as maybe LocalSettings.php is in the cache...?): service apache2 restart
No, it's usually not cached. But of course an extra restart won't hurt :)
