Perfect - Thank you! If anyone needs to know this - from the terminal in the maintenance folder I ran: php userOptions.php --nowarn --quiet searchNsXX --old 0 --new 1 replace XX with the namespace number you need to set to search by default. EG category would be 14 - and user would be 2
