Current oracle support works for all code using abstracion layer to query data and some of the code that still uses raw sql queries. As far as i know SMW still relies on raw sql statements which might not work for oracle.
The ORA-00942 error is "table od view does not exist" which means you might be missing some tables, could you check your installation. Due to the fact that i'm probabbly the only one using oracle as backend here you can also contact me directly on my mail and we'll try to fix your issue.
