What I said was that it is not labelled "unsubscribe", so it's not obvious that you're meant to click it to unsubscribe. Back when I was release manager, I set the mediawiki-announce footer to: MediaWiki announcements mailing list To unsubscribe, go to: https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/mediawiki-announce Actually using the word "unsubscribe" in the footer helped to reduce the number of unsubscription requests sent to the owner and sender.
