Thanks, for the reply.  I had to change the $wgServer in my LocalSettings.php
file to the IP address of my router's external IP address.  It was set to the
IP address of my wiki machine (192.168.0.117).  I can now access the wiki from
the internet. There are some other settings that probably need to be changed as
well (e.g. $wgPasswordSender, $wdEmergencyContact)).  Now that I know what to
look for, I should be able to figure that out.
Thanks again,

Eric

Try just port forwarding 80 and 443

I have wiki up and running on my home network.  I can access the wiki on the
LAN side of the router.  I cannot access wiki from the external (Internet) side

router) ports 80 and 443 to my machine running the wiki.  When trying to access
from Internet, I get a timeout error.  I can access the Apache web server from
the internet on the same machine, so I thought it should work.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
Eric
