Folks, Here's what I'm running on Ubuntu 16.04 with nginx. It's a play box as I experiment with hhvm among other things. This mediawiki instance is being built as a genealogy project.

The people with same surname, i.e., Jones, would then be listed together in the correct category [[Category:Jones]]. Then I created a master "Surname" category in which all the surnames are listed which in turn made the [[Category:Jones]] to become a sub-category. However, for some reason, which I can't seem to resolve, pages are not being added to categories now. So if I create a new person page and then create the [[Category:$urname]] the page is not being added to the new category. So I am wondering if anyone else has run into this and/or if there is a fix I can try.
