I think the namespace idea could work, but makes searching harder. (Search isn't automatically extended across namespaces.)
One approach is to allow 'subpages' in your main wiki namespace. Then you can structure your documentation based on version and use templates to guide the user. That's how they do it on wiki.slicer.org "Nightly" is a version number that means 'latest or current'. https://www.slicer.org/wiki/Documentation/Nightly There are multiple templates that keep the user informed about what version of the documentation they are using (In other words, where they are in the tree). e.g. https://www.slicer.org/wiki/Template:Documentation/version/edit <includeonly>{{#titleparts: {{PAGENAME}} | 1 | 2 }}</includeonly><noinclude> == Usage == <pre>{{documentation/version}}</pre> {{note}}Since this template is not specific to a given version. Exercising the template would return the string 'version' [[Category:Templates|{{PAGENAME}}]] </noinclude> _______________________________________________ MediaWiki-l mailing list To unsubscribe, go to: https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/mediawiki-l
