Question #219049 on Medibuntu changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/medibuntu/+question/219049
Description changed to: At this moment, the Opus codec (libopus and opus-tools) is included with Quantal and above, but there is a version of the codec available at https://launchpad.net/~opus-developers/+archive/stable or https://launchpad.net/~n-muench/+archive/vlc which can be downloaded and included with Medibuntu. I ask this because the Ubuntu team refuses to add new packages to Precise, and with Precise being supported for 5 years, then this important codec needs to get out there. Plus, VLC 2.0.4 and above are advertised to use this codec and offering something the main repositories don't offer so VLC and other audio programs can use would be a plus. -- You received this question notification because you are a member of Medibuntu Packaging Team, which is an answer contact for Medibuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~medibuntu-maintainers Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~medibuntu-maintainers More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
