Ergatron Styleview carts. We have 1
cart for each nurse and there is a Metrologic Focus 1690 scanner attached to
each cart. (The nurses LOVE the
scanners.) The nurses take
ownership of their carts and take them with them for every medication
administration (with the exception of a code type situation). We have Pyxis machines that the majority
of their meds come from. We also
have medication cassettes for bulk items and items not in the Pyxis
machine. Let me know if you have
any other questions. I'm happy to
help if I can. Thanks! Deb Debora

Message----- We are planning on going live with
BMV late this year and are in the process of obtaining equipment and
developing processes. For those who are already live with BMV, what medcarts and
barcoding equipment are you using?? Do you use a med dispensing machine?? What
process do you use for med passing when it is only 1 med to be given to 1
patient. Do you take the entire med cart and barcoder with you each time or do
you use a hand held device. Would you recommend your current
equipment? Thanks in advance for all your
input Dana
