Good Afternoon L,

We are C/S 5.4 SR2 facility getting ready to open a Cardiac Cath Lab and are 
trying to find the best solution for tracking, documenting, and maintaining 
inventory for items, implants, and supplies used for Cardiac Caths.  We want to 
be able to list all items that might be needed on the OR Preference Card but 
there is a reluctance on our Revenue Team's part to have the items list out in 
the chargemaster when there are multiple different items with the same cost.  
Our Meditech BAR specialists tells us to have a different BAR procedure number 
for each item, even with the same price, to be able to track utilization of 
individual items.   Has any facility already gone through this setup process 
and did you build each item separately with it's own BAR procedure code, even 
when the price was the same?  We'd appreciate any advice you could give on this 
subject!
