Years ago our Respiratory Therapy staff preformed these screenings and entered the results as Lab Tests.... NOW, RT would like to get out of this business and would like nursing to perform the tests and record the results. Benefits of the Lab is that the reports automatically go to the Pediatricians. But, result entry in the lab is not an intuitive process and I am hesitant to try to take Nursing in this direction. I would like to use NUR intervention with some sort of query billing... Question: What are others doing?? Do you know of any regulatory requirement for reporting?? I'm a bit lost on this one!! Thanks in advance!!
