I think the problem is that the list software can't handle HTML and
forces it into an attachment. I've noticed that Rich Text seems to be
viewable within the body of the message, though.

Since I'm sending this, I'll also comment on two other issues.

Regarding the "Out of Office" issue: Our organization blocks our Out of
Office notices from going to external email addresses. This is both for
etiquette reasons (such as spamming lists like this one with Out of
Office notices) as well as safety reasons. Announcing that you're in
Hawaii for two weeks to anyone who sends you an email is not wise. For
those in positions where this does not work, they either check their
email while away (using OWA), or they make arrangements to get their
email covered by someone else.

Regarding putting "C/S" or "Magic" in the subject line: I have no issue
with this but just want to say that I still value posts from Magic
hospitals even though we are Client Server. I still learn from those
posts and sometimes the distinction is irrelevant to the issue at hand.
I always specify that we are C/S when I post but I hope that Magic users
still read my posts and respond if applicable. So if we as a group
start making this distinction, I hope that folks don't just start
deleting based on that notation in the subject line.

Thanks

Since I'm new, I'll ask the question. What does it matter if we post in
HTML? I realize it ends up as an attachment, so I don't post HTML, but
I'm sure this doesn't have to be configured that way. Are there still a
bunch of people not using a HTML "reader"?

I have posted many questions and gotten many answers. Also, I have tried
to answer or send NPRs when I could also. I don't bother to answer
postings in HTML, though.

I agree with. I have posted several questions and did not get any answer
back. I think people will reply (if any!) to the sender rather than
posting to meditech-L. Please POST to meditech-L. Thanks

        Hi

I'm new to this list and I see lots of questions but does anyone
ever get any answers? How long usually do you wait for an answer after
posting? I thought this was an NPR list-serve but see that MEDITECH
questions in general are asked. Is there a different list-serve per
MEDITECH module or is this for everything?

        Thanks.

        Shelley
