Tara: I am sending a short list of possible enhancements to our MT Sales Rep: 1. Add another choices to the field DEFAULT: Current Choices are: A. LOCATION B. MY LIST Possible additions: * C. NPR REPORT * D. QUERY ? (CONSULTS), THERAPIES, ON OXYGEN? 2. Add other choices to the SORT KEY: (Status Board Dictionary) Current Choices are: 3 SORTS CHOSEN FROM LIST BELOW A. LOCATION B. ROOM C. NAME D. UNIT # E. ACCT # F. ATT PHY Possible additions: G. QUERY (sort by query for almost anything....) H. OUTPT LOCATION I. ALL ROOMS/BEDS (I have to manually do this now for PHARMACIST to use Status Board) 3. Allow end users to create their own desktop icons/routines. The status brd was written and designed with NUR in mind and MT did a very good job with it, but there are a lot of disciplines besides NURSING that could benefit from the integration and concise/snapshot view of data that the Status Brd gives. (Pharmacy,Outpt Registration-like a waiting room tracer), SDC,Case Management/UR,Infection Control,Rehab,RT,etc....) The desktop icons/routines are limited to standard NUR routines. I would like to give PHA the Process Patient Meds routine for one example. MT allows us to add our own custom menus/reports to the desktop icon/button for Reports, so they could allow us to customize oen or two buttons for other routines that would benefit certain NON NUR users. Just an FYI about the bar codes you added to the worklist report for your therapist. Did you add the enter key and the file key as bar codes? We did this for some PHA reports that we use has a human interface, we use it to list a dict in PHA that needs editing, and we scan the med bar code, then the edit field (new charge code or whatever it is that needs to be edited) and then the enter keys and file key (zip,zip,zip....fast). The enter key bar code we use is: DAT=CODE.128 JFY=L LEN=15 VAL=D(13) The file key (F12) bar code we use is: DAT=CODE.128 JFY=L LEN=5 VAL=D(147) See attached PHA.CLASS report for these examples. If you already new this or were doing this, please ignore. The meditech-l web site is MTUsers.com ====================================== We are getting Nursing in May and we had a demo yesterday so they can make a project plan. Currently, each therapist prints their schedule and I added a barcode to it for the demo yesterday so I could show them how to add their patients the easiest way. I think the therapists will manage their own lists and the Nursing supervisors will manage the nurses lists. I submitted MIX request4405913 for more integration between scheduling and Nursing, but they said it was part of a future project plan (nur proposal 4901). The proposal mentions nothing about what I requested for an enhancement. The status board needs to be more user friendly for the outpatient side. I suggested that the resource should be a field in the nurse dictionary and if filled in, it should populate the statusboard based on appointments. Also it would be nice if you could display the appointment time and sort by it. I do have a script for our dialysis unit to script names into the handheld list from scheduled appointments but don't want to go down that road with all. Thanks for any help. pat -----Original Message----- From: Mary Rozenboom [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, March 15, 2006 10:51 AM To: Tara Mcnamara; Meditech L Subject: RE: [MEDITECH-L] NUR: Outpatient statusboards All messages should be posted in plain text. The meditech-l web site is MTUsers.com ====================================== Tara, On our Rehab Status Board I put: Patient Name (of course), Acct Number, DOB, SOC Date, Date of Onset, Date of Surgery, Primary Diagnosis, Recertification Date, Number of Visits Insurance Allow (Insurance Allows), Physician, Allergies, Phone Number of Patient. Do pole your therapists for what they need to refer to quickly, these do need to be built into an Initial Assessment or Treatment Plan so they can be pulled into the Status Board. The meditech-l web site is MTUsers.com ====================================== Hi All, Can you send me examples of your outpatient statusboards for the therapies? Also, if you got custom or thought of something unique to help there workflow can you share that with me? I put barcodes on their printed schedules so they can scan the patients onto their list, but I am really hoping to do something with the flowsheet or creative ideas so that they will accept Meditech. I am demoing to the outpatient managers tomorrow.
