Cindy:
We have some nursing treatments to drop the charge automatically...We also have
a screen that has required answers on it that the nurse has to fill out to
depart a patient that has other charges listed. Our coders in medical records
continue to assign the levels of care for the correct charge...We found out
there are too many mis-interpretations from the nurses on levels of care (and
we are NOT coders). We have done a little bit of both...If you need specifics,
please give me a call...Hope this helps.
