Lab Users, In our system if the specimen
collection date is changed using the Edit L/M/B Coll Date routine, the
service date is not updated in billing. We are 5.4 sr0. Is this
still true in more recent releases, and if still wrong, how do
you handle updating the service date to match the collection date, as required
by CMS.
Currently, if the specimen is subsequently cancelled,
the cancel is generated with the new collection date as the SD for the
credit. This caused SD mismatches with our billing system and MT's fix is
to back date the Cancel, not correct the more important problem of fixing the
original SD. I would appreciate any info from anyone else dealing
with the problem.
