Hey Chuck,
I posted this awhile back. Hope it helps, Chad :)
Here's what we use. The RXM REPORT one is just one of the
fragments. The MEDICATION RECONCILE is a host report in NUR.PC.WORK
with the corresponding fragment. You can use either fragment and adjust
as you need to. I think the fragment as is sends over a solid fragment
line to the main report but it's already set up to send back the
components in variables if you adjust the footnote. Also, as an FYI,
you can use these fragments in EDM.PAT also if you need to. Just send
over mri.urn or urn's.mri.urn to the fragment and play with it. You can
also use this fragment with minor change to the type to pull in active
in-patient meds and rx's.
Other Choices Are (in 5.4 SR2):
H - History Medication, prescribed outside the enterprise
P - Pharmacy Medication, ordered and administered within enterprise
R - Prescribed Medication, prescribed within enterprise
M - Used to track monograph/samples given only
F - Profile Medication, prescribed within enterprise before LIVE
Since HX Meds and Profile meds were combined in 5.5 to become "Reported
meds" these probably changed also.... So that tid bit may be useless for
ya' .... But there it is anyway, lol.
The NUR.PC.WORK report also calls a fragment that pulls in RXM coded
allergies (which I think is pretty cool), but it's currently set to only
bring over the drug. I originally wrote it to pull over and group RXM
coded allergies into their groups as follows:
;1^/LIST["E"], = "Environmental allergies"
;1^/LIST["F"], = Food Allergies"
;1^/LIST["G"], = "Generic allergies"
;1^/LIST["L"], = "Latex allergies"
;1^/LIST["C"], = "Drug Class"
;1^/LIST["O"], = "Other allergies"
;1^/LIST["I"], = "ingredient allergies"
1^/LIST["D"] = "Drug Allergies"
But it's currently set to only pull over the DRUG. Just remove the ";"
to pull in the rest. I wrote it like a year ago, originally because the
EDM standard output for coded allergies was found to be confusing for
our ER MD's and nursing folks and sorting them out worked out better.
P.S. (FYI): I'm not usually this sloppy with my reports, I didn't write
this with a lot of arrays and such purposefully because I figured if I
ever got run over by a truck or something it would make it easier for
whoever followed me to rewrite/edit it. That said there's clearly ways
to write it with big mama arrays that's probably more efficient, but as
a word of caution when I started writing the fragments I found I could
not write and run these fragments directly out of RXM without them
crashing to goodbye. So if you make modifications you may find that you
can only run your main report to review your changes. But maybe that
doesn't happen with 5.5 ... We're 5.4 SR2... Hope this helps, good luck
.... Chad :)
