We are testing in a change right now where our overrides from Pyxis will come over as .XX unless we change them at the individual drug level . The nurse will enter what info is needed in Admin Comments. Does anyone else use this approach ? We turned off our Stock Meds because nurses were confused, because it was showing all overrides including those from ER or OR not used on the individual floors. We got that working in TEST so only the floors override comes over. Overrides should be few and far between but we still need some way to see them on eMAR and document safely on them. Nurses are currently documenting on a paper chart but not at the same time that they actually give the med for overrides. We havent moved the changes to LIVE yet. What is everyone else doing? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Grisanti, Michael Sent: Tuesday, May 09, 2006 11:56 AM To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]'; [email protected] Subject: RE: [MEDITECH-L] PYXIS AND EMAR/BMV All messages should be posted in plain text. We had Meditech put in custom in which you would get a pop-up in which you would be able to edit the route of administration. It came at a cost of course. In the interim what we did was script in a generic route of "IJ" into all formulary entries that had multiple routes of IM,IV,SC etc. Since IJ is the 1st alphabetically it would default in when a .STK-MED is pulled. Hope this helps -Mike Michael S Grisanti, RPh Pharmacy Services St Marys Hospital @ Amsterdam NY 518 841-3834 [EMAIL PROTECTED] -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, May 08, 2006 7:49 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [MEDITECH-L] PYXIS AND EMAR/BMV All messages should be posted in plain text.
