Yes, MT first pulls the default Route of Administration, then it will pull
the first Admin. Route listed on the Dispensing page of the Drug Dictionary.
I have had to remove the order entry default for injectables and then I used
"Update Admin. Routes/Rule", on the Formulary menu, to add .xx to all drugs.
Then I created a PCS assessment for .xx for the nurse to specify the actual
route of admin. on the eMAR.

Has anyone seen this problem and have a solution?
When pulling a stat med from pyxis (such as demerol) the med goes to the
emar/bmv screen as a STK/MED.
The route of administration that pulls from the drug dictionary defaults in
and the user is unable to change it.
The problem is if the Demerol is pulled out (in a tubex) to be given IV, but
IM defaults in, the user must select an IM site when it was actually given
IV. Any help would be appreciated.
