We do have redundant a/c systems in the server room although we actually have had them both fail at the same time. Most of our servers will shut themselves down if they get too hot so we have fewer concerns about damaging the equipment than the interruption of service. We use a system called TempTrak from Cooper-Atkins for our refrigerators and temperature critical rooms like the server room, morgue, blood gas lab, etc. There are temperature sensors in these rooms/refrigerators and we have the TempTrak system set up to page engineering and other individuals when the temperature goes out of the desired range for x cycles.
