We use PCS documentation in our Day Surgery and Recovery Room.  We use ORM for the documentation in the OR.  We do not have our Ambulatory Care Unit up on anything yet, but will be utilizing the PCS module for that when they go live in the next fiscal year.  We gave our Day Surgery people the opportunity to decide between using ORM and PCS for their documentation and they chose PCS.  It is just easier to use. They have had no problems with using it.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Ambulatory Care Documentation

Just wondering what other hospitals are doing for the Ambulatory/Same Day Surgery Documentation.  Right now we are doing it all on an "Old fashioned" chart.  We have Meditech's nursing module and I thought I would build some assessments, but wanted input before I started.  We utilize MSM's OR module for our surgery suites.  Maybe that could be utilized, also, for SDC documentation.
